when the legislature is done I hope they will not ignore children older than 72 hours. Apparently families of older children need help or Nebraska would not be changing the safe haven law

There is no need to have a special session to change the law. It is providing an invaluable by becoming a means for helping people who need reach out for it. How are you going define children ? Quite possibly the 16 year old with the baby more than adequately qualified ! As far as out of state cases go, the system seems to be doing just fine. It is a waste of tax payer money for the Gov H to call a special system. It is not broke. Just one more case of why we don't need him for another term.

the state needs to do something to help get older kids help they just get passed around or it is said that nothing can be done to help them then something bad happens and then family wounders why nothing could be done parents try to get them help and are constantly turned down until something happens and then its the parents fault get the places who keep tieing there hands to untie them and lets start getting help for these kids who need it when nothing else can be done for them
